DOWN ESPAÑA is based in Spain and represents 91 associations supporting people with Down syndrome nationwide. Since 1991, our mission is to promote their rights, inclusion, and autonomy by providing access to education, employment, health, and independent living programs. Through advocacy, resources, and awareness campaigns, we work to foster a more inclusive society. Additionally, we collaborate internationally and develop innovative projects, including digital tools and AI applications to enhance accessibility.

The Croatian Down Syndrome Association (HZDS) is a non-governmental organization, founded in 2005 to coordinate and integrate the activities of several Down syndrome associations in the Republic of Croatia. HZDS represents 8 local Down syndrome associations in the Republic of Croatia and around 500 people with Down syndrome and their families. The main goals of the HZDS are to improve the health and social care of people with Down syndrome, to improve the education of children and young people with Down syndrome in order to ensure their integration into society and to enable employment and an active social life.

Incotera Association is located in Romania, Bucharest-Ilfov region, addressing social inclusion matters for the people with Down syndrome. Our activity started in 2021 and our mission is to ensure a wider support and access to integrated services related to information, counselling and therapy for the persons affected by the Down syndrome.

The Malta Association of Supported Employment (MASE) is a voluntary non governmental organisation enrolled with the VO – VO/ 1159. It was established by the Malta Federation of Organisations Persons with Disability (MFOPD) in April 2014 to focus on Supported Employment. MASE represents Malta at EU level. It is the Malta Representative at the Association for Supported Employment Europe (ASEE) formerly known as the European Union of Supported Employment (EUSE), being the European mother organisation regulating supported employment throughout the European Union. Supported Employment is for all vulnerable groups which are various – prisoners, domestic violence, drug abusers, irregular immigrants, persons with disability etc and thus the large spectrum of needs and implementation. MASE officials have been trained on Supported Employment and this training was used to implement SE programmes both with national and EU funds. Presently MASE monitors Malta’s situation with regards and at the same time keeps itself updated with what is happening on SE through its memberships with ASEE.
