We are thrilled to share the latest developments from the Lead Your Way project! Two major deliverables are now available, both of which are key milestones in our mission to enhance employment opportunities for people with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities. These publications provide invaluable insights, best practices, and recommendations for creating more inclusive and accessible workplaces.

- Provide more effective and personalized support for people with intellectual disabilities,
- Involve employers, professionals, and workers in coordinated inclusion processes.
Research Report on Supported Employment and Digital Inclusion
This research, coordinated by Dr. Lara Bezzina, provides an overview of the development of EU initiatives to promote work inclusion for people with disabilities and a detailed country analysis of the implementation of supported employment schemes.
Key Findings
- While progress has been made across Europe, inclusive employment remains uneven and fragile.
- Digital training can act as a key enabler of inclusion, but accessible design and support are critical to avoid increasing exclusion.
- Stigma, low expectations, and benefit systems continue to be barriers to employment.
- NGOs and social enterprises play a vital role but face challenges due to lack of long-term funding.
